The EU CE certification is very important for exporting products to EU countries. I believe many businesses know that products that do not obtain this mark cannot enter EU countries for sales. Below, we will take you to learn more about CE related information
The CE mark is a mandatory certification mark in the EU market. Whether it is a product produced within the EU or by other countries, in order to circulate freely in the EU market, it must be affixed with the "CE" mark to indicate that the product meets the basic requirements of the EU's "new methods of technical coordination and standardization". This is a mandatory requirement of EU law for products.
CE certification is limited to basic safety requirements for products that do not pose a threat to human, animal, and cargo safety, rather than general quality requirements. Coordinated directives only specify the main requirements, while general directives require standard tasks. Therefore, its exact meaning is that the CE mark is a safety qualification mark, not a quality qualification mark. It is the "main requirement" that constitutes the core of the European Directive. The "CE" mark is a safety certification mark that is considered a passport for manufacturers to open and enter the European market. CE stands for Unification of Europe
There are three types of EU CE certification issuing agencies:
(1) The conformity declaration/conformity declaration issued by the enterprise itself is a self declaration and should not be issued by a third party (intermediary or testing and certification agency). Therefore, a corporate consistency statement in EU format can be used instead.
(2) The Compliance Certificate is a compliance statement issued by a third-party agency (intermediary or testing and certification agency), which must be accompanied by technical information such as a testing report TCF. The enterprise should also sign the Compliance Certificate.
(3) EC Attention of Conformity is a certificate issued by the Notifed Body (NB). According to EU regulations, only NB is eligible to issue EC type CE declarations.
For the CE certification directive for products, if the product is exported to the European Economic Area, including any of the 30 member states of the European Union and the European Free Trade Area, CE certification may be required. If a product belongs to multiple categories at the same time, it must meet the requirements listed in the product instructions corresponding to all categories. Note: Some product manuals sometimes list products that are excluded from the manual.
